McSweeney Sports Surfaces installs 3 types of synthetic tennis surface for tour events, professional clubs, schools, local leisure or community run facilities Ireland wide.
In addition to new tennis court installations, we also repair, improve and maintain existing surfaces. We can work on damaged or worn tarmacadam surfaces and give you a new synthetic surface in its place.
The synthetic grass selected is determined by the speed of the surface required. The various grass products are subjected to various tests as specified by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Standard EN15330. The main ones are: surface pace rating (speed), slip resistance, traction coefficient, shock absorption, porosity and durability. The ITF determines the speed of the surface and classifies it as slow, medium or fast.
Polyurethane / EPDM court system. Homogenised, coloured, water-permeable, extremely abrasion-resistant, UV and weather resistant. There are many colour options available for this system.
The three coat system for new or existing tarmacadam or concrete coats is available in 8 different colours. This system is effective in restoring weathered and eroded areas to a smooth, refurbished playing surface suitable for intensive use.
There are many examples of our synthetic tennis surface installations nationwide.
